Celebrating the Retirement of Dr Rachel Kidd & Welcoming Dr Ben Rowley

After 27 years of dedicated service, we warmly celebrate the retirement of Dr Rachel Kidd from Caldbeck Surgery. Rachel has been an exceptional GP, partner, colleague, and advocate for sustainable healthcare. Her leadership has ensured that our practice remains committed to green initiatives and continues to work towards the NHS Net Zero goals.

To mark this milestone, members of the team enjoyed a wonderfully sunny evening at Eycott Hill Nature Reserve, a fitting location given Rachel’s passion for environmental stewardship. As a special gift, the talented team at Men in Sheds, Caldbeck, crafted a beautiful insect house for her garden — a lasting reminder of her time with us. She was also presented with a hamper filled with goods sourced in Caldbeck, continuing the environmental theme she has championed so strongly.

As we say farewell to Rachel, we are delighted to announce that Dr Ben Rowley will be joining us as a partner from 1st July 2026. Ben brings a wealth of experience, including a decade as a GP partner, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming him into the Caldbeck Surgery team.

We wish Rachel a joyful and fulfilling retirement and extend a warm welcome to Ben as he begins this new chapter with us.
