A 6 week course for anyone over 18 who would like change their eating and activity patterns and lose weight taking a compassionate and non-judgemental approach.

We acknowledge that weight management isn’t easy and that there are many factors involved, including genetics, medication, daily stresses etc…

We will explore the benefits of a low-carbohydrate diet which has been shown to prevent and even reverse Type 2 Diabetes in those who have been diagnosed or identified as being at risk of Type 2 Diabetes, potentially reducing the need for medication.

We will consider the role of compassion in weight management and how making healthy choices may be kinder than giving in to our cravings and desires.

We will also explore how we might eat in response to our emotions and develop strategies for coping with lapses in our good intentions and relapse prevention and management.

The course will be facilitated by Hazel Stewart, Wellbeing Activator, and Becky Wade, Living Well Coach with the Wellbeing Service
